Minimal Effort for Maximum Results
I’m all about using less resources and, yet, gaining better results. I used to use copious amounts of compost or manure for its nutrient value. Now, I only use a small amount of mineral fertilizers. I am getting better results than I ever did before. I’m also using far less resources, albeit they are more concentrated.
This is the right track you want to be on as a gardener. You want to find ways to use as little resources as possible. The same goes for water for me. Where I live, water is a scarcity. I want to use as little as possible but still get terrific results. That’s why I use pulse irrigation. Smaller, more frequent amounts of water makes the crops grow better but uses FAR less water over time.
It’s better to use the right things in small enough amounts to get the maximum results. There’s no point for you to spend all your time and money on things that don’t bring those results. Rock dusts come to mind. Don’t waste your money on those things. Instead, spend your money on seeds, a great fertilizer, and good tools and infrastructure. When you see results, it will strengthen your gardening experience and make you yearn to keep coming back to it. Lack of results translate into disheartening garden experiences. Don’t let that to happen to you.
